Gold is steady near record highs this week so far. Gold is up 3% in August after increasing 5.7% in July, its biggest monthly gain since March. Silver is also up 4.6% this month, recovering from its dip in June and July.

On Friday, speaking at the Federal Reserve’s annual conference, Chairman Jerome Powell said “the time has come” for an interest rate cut as inflation nears the Fed’s 2% target. Fed rate cut anticipation for September has been ongoing all summer, but the recent statements have boosted sentiment with a new fervor. Safe haven buying due to geopolitical conflict in Europe and the Middle East has also helped to keep gold prices steady at the highs this year.

While Powell did not specify how much the Fed plans to cut rates next month, about 65.5% of investors tracked by the CME FedWatch Tool expect a 25 basis point cut, while the rest anticipate a 50 basis point cut.

Rate cuts are typically bullish for gold, which means these last weeks of summer may be your last chance to obtain gold at current price levels. After the interest rate cut cycle kicks off, we expect gold spot prices to take off if historical patterns are any indication. The time to act is now.

In order to help you capitalize on the current market situation, we're offering backdated 1 oz. Gold Krugerrands at an extremely attractive premium... comparable or even lower than you can obtain bars these days!

When it debuted in 1967, the South African Gold Krugerrand was an instant hit as the first modern gold bullion coin available for private investment. In 1980, the Gold Krugerrand was so popular that it accounted for 90% of the global gold coin market. While other modern issue sovereign coins such as the American Gold Eagle have since overtaken the lead, it still remains a popular choice for investment grade gold worldwide. At today's low premiums, you won't want to miss adding some to your portfolio post-haste!

Give us a call at **1-800-831-0007** or **[email us](mailto:infoasi@assetstrategies.com?subject=2021%20Eagles)** to place your order today!
